KELLER, Texas — Two were arrested in connection with a shooting in Keller after a two-day search, police say.

Police were called to a home in the 800 block of Santa Fe Trail around 11:30 p.m. Monday and found a man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, according to a statement from Keller Public Safety.

Officers learned the man had been shot by his friend, Kevin Stacy, 29, who had fled after the shooting, officials say.

Keller police detectives, along with the North Texas Regional SWAT team, found several weapons, body armor, and evidence of a shooting during a search of Stacy’s residence, police say.

Undercover officers spotted Stacy in a vehicle near his home around 7 p.m. Wednesday and took him into custody, police say.

Stacy was booked into the Tarrant County Jail on complaints of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of prohibited weapons, according to Keller police.

Stacy’s mother, Kimberly, who was driving the vehicle Stacy was found in, was also taken into custody on a complaint of hindering apprehension or prosecution.
