FORT WORTH, Texas — TCU in Fort Worth issued a public safety bulletin after two students reported being sexually assaulted on campus housing recently, officials say.
In the first instance, a third party reported a student was sexually assaulted in campus housing by a guest visiting a student in early October, according to university police.
In the second instance, a student was sexually assaulted by another student the weekend of Oct. 26 and 27, campus police say.
“The Dean of Students, the Office of Institutional Equity’s Title IX team, and the TCU Police are aware of these reports and are collaborating on the information in compliance with federal and state obligations in support of the victim/complainant’s desires,” the bulletin reads. “Texas Christian University is committed to the health, well-being, and safety of the entire campus community.”
The bulletin offered reminders about security measures available for students on campus, including security escorts by campus police available by calling 817-257-8563 and the FrogShield app to directly connect to campus police.
