TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — Tarrant County Sheriff's deputies will be hitting the roads with some new wheels this holiday season.
The sheriff's office announced it will start using new patrol vehicles starting the first week of December.
The new vehicles are two models of SUVs. The first is a black Ford Explorer, and the second is a white Chevy Tahoe. Both feature a blue stripe and a gold TCSO badge and lettering.
“The old-style vehicles, which are white with blue lettering, will still be seen on the roads,” says Sheriff Bill Waybourn. “It’ll take a while to update the more than 100 units in the fleet. But these new SUVs look great and will really catch people’s eye.”
