FORT WORTH, Texas — A man's body was recovered from the Trinity River, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.
FWPD said in a statement that officers responded to a call of a man that was found in the Trinity River around 6:53 p.m. on Wednesday.
He was later identified as Mark Edward Knowles, 66, of Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office.
According to police, first responders pulled the man from the Clear Fork of the Trinity River near the intersection of Watercourse Drive and Arborlawn Drive. Police told WFAA he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Right now, it is unclear why the man was in the water, and Fort Worth PD said they are investigating.
