One killed, four injured in shooting near Everman, Fort Worth police say

Police said the shooting stemmed from an argument involving several people about an item that had allegedly gone missing from a residence on Cynthia Court.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth police said a total of five people were shot Saturday night -- with one of those victims dying -- after an argument over an item that had allegedly gone missing from a residence.

The Fort Worth Police Department said it received a shooting call shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday about a shooting call at 9325 Cynthia Court near Everman.

Upon arriving at the scene, police said officers located five gunshot would victims. According to police, one person was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, another was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition and three were taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injures. 

Per the police, the shooting stemmed from an argument involving several people about an item that had allegedly gone missing from the residence at the center of the incident. Police said that argument then spilled outside, at which point shots were fired by multiple suspects, striking multiple victims. 

Homicide police continue to search for the suspects believed to have fired those shots, the Fort Worth Police Department said.
