Two killed in Tarrant County crash, authorities say

According to authorities, the two people were ejected during the crash.

TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — Two people are dead after a pickup truck flipped upside down on U.S. Highway 287 in Tarrant County, sheriff's office said. 

According to the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office (TCSO), deputies responded to the 14000 block of the highway around 11 p.m. Tuesday night to the report of a major accident.

When deputies arrived, TCSO said they found a truck upside down on the shoulder of the highway and a man lying near it. A woman was found about 20 yards from the truck, TCSO said. 

According to TCSO, both the man and the woman appeared to have been killed when they were ejected from the truck. 

TCSO said its Traffic Investigations Unit is working to determine the cause of the crash and the Tarrant County Medical Examiner will release the victims' names and causes of death at a later date.
