FORT WORTH, Texas — Crews are responding to a two-alarm fire at a HG Sply Co. restaurant in Fort Worth on Friday afternoon.
Video from the scene showed flames and smoke coming from the building in the 3300 block of Texas Sage Trail shortly before 1 p.m. WFAA chopper footage shows fire crews on the roof the building.
Fort Worth fire officials say one firefighter was injured and taken to a medic on scene, and 40-50 employees and 35 customers were evacuated safely.
Fire officials say the fire appeared to start in the chimney of a fireplace.
The Fort Worth Fire Department is asking people to avoid the area as crews respond to the fire.
