ARLINGTON, Texas — It’s the time of year where homes across North Texas display flags and fall mums, Halloween décor and political signs.

In one Arlington neighborhood, though, there’s something you don’t always see: Signs for both presidential candidates in the same front yard.

Jerremy Coke, who lives nearby, said he saw the Harris/Walz sign first and the Trump sign after.

Greg Williams, another neighbor, told WFAA when he saw the first sign, he was surprised. And then he said he went back again a couple of days later and saw both signs.

It's a standing symbol that carries a more significant meaning.

“With them facing different directions, it kind of depends on where you’re viewing from,” Coke explained. “Obviously, we have a divided home here but, that’s great. They’re both expressing their views and expressing how they feel currently. I’m all for it.”

"I think at this time, the division, it doesn’t need to be there. Everybody has a right to their views,” Coke added.

Williams said he believes it shows that we can all get along.

"Because, no matter what, no matter who wins, you still got to go to work the next day. We have to learn to work together and still continue to live together,” Williams said.
