3 shot at Arlington apartment complex, police say

Arlington police said its officers found three people – two men and a woman – at the scene with gunshot wounds.

ARLINGTON, Texas — Three people were hospitalized after being shot at an Arlington apartment complex on Sunday evening, according to police.

The Arlington Police Department (APD) said officers responded at approximately 7:50 p.m. Sunday to an apartment complex in the 2200 block of Lincoln Drive to investigate a reported shooting. When the officers got there, they found three people – a 19-year-old man in an adjacent apartment, a 19-year-old man in a vehicle parked outside the building and a 17-year-old woman in a vacant apartment – with apparent gunshot wounds, APD said.

All three people were taken to area hospitals, where the woman and the 19-year-old man found in the car are in critical condition, officials say. The other man found in the apartment suffered non-life-threatening injuries, officials say.

"The two victims found in the apartments are related to each other," police said in a statement. "At this time, it’s unclear what the connection is between the male found in the car and the other two victims."

No arrests have been made in relation to the shooting, APD said. Investigators were working Sunday night to determine what happened and what led to the shooting.
