FORT WORTH – A 12-year-old girl drove a car into a church Thursday night in Fort Worth injuring five people, according to a MedStar spokesperson.
The accident occurred at the Iglesia Bautista Calvario in the 3800 block of St. Louis Avenue around 10 p.m.
Police and witnesses at the scene said none of the children were seriously injured. Most were checked out at the scene and released to their parents.
An exterior wall of the church suffered minor damage.
It was unknown how the girl ended up behind the wheel. Police continue to investigate.
