SWAT called to assist Dallas police after suspect fires shots, sources say

Dallas police responded to the 7600 block of Great Trinity Forest Way on Saturday morning.

DALLAS — Dallas police requested SWAT assistance after responding to a shooting call Saturday morning. 

At 10:25 a.m. on Aug. 5, police said they were responded to reports of a man "shooting a gun and barricading himself inside a vehicle." More than 20 police units responded to the 7600 block of Great Trinity Forest Way.

According to police, SWAT responded to the scene and found the vehicle to be empty. No suspect are reported to be in custody as of Sunday morning.

No injuries were reported.
