Structure fire damages nearby home in Denton, fire department says

According to the fire department, it is unclear if anyone was inside the home or not.

DENTON, Texas — A structure fire broke out on Leatherwood and Teasley Lane in Denton Wednesday afternoon, according to the fire department. 

The Denton Fire Department said in a Facebook post that it is currently on the scene, working alongside the Lake Cities Fire Department to battle the blaze.

As of now, Denton FD said it has not been able to confirm whether anyone was inside the home at the time of the fire. Firefighters are continuing to assess the situation.

The fire has caused significant damage to the structure, and a nearby house has sustained exterior damage due to an associated grass fire, Denton FD said.
