FORT WORTH, Texas — A shelter-in-place has been lifted at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth after police responded to reports of a "suspicious individual" who may have had a gun.
Officials issued the alert just before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, asking those on campus to stay indoors and keep their doors locked. By 3:49 p.m., the alert had ended and an all-clear was given when the university said via Facebook that Fort Worth police apprehended the suspect, who was seen near the Nenetta Burton Carter Building, adjacent to the Athletic Field.
It's unknown as of now if the suspect was indeed armed or if they might be facing any charges.
