ARLINGTON, Texas — Police are still searching for the gunman who shot and killed an Arlington man one year ago.
Police responded to the shooting in the 1400 block of Prentice Street near South Collins Street and I-20 Feb. 14, 2023, and found a gunshot victim, identified as Ali Ismail, 26, unresponsive in an SUV. Ismail died at the scene.
As detectives investigated the shooting, police say they learned that two suspects had been trying to break into parked cars in the neighborhood when Ismail drove up to his home.
When Ismail pulled into the driveway, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot and killed Ismail, police said.
The suspects then ran from the neighborhood, according to police.
