IRVING, Texas — The southbound lanes of State Highway 161 at Walnut Hill Lane in Irving are shut down after a multi-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon, police say.
Irving police responded to the crash involving an 18-wheeler and four cars shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday.
Police say three people were injured and transported from the scene. They initially said there were no major injuries to report.
The news comes after two separate major crashes were reported on the President George Bush Turnpike in Irving yesterday.
