LITTLE ELM, Texas — Investigators are seeking the public's help in finding drivers involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash that killed a woman along U.S. 380 in Little Elm last week.
The woman, who was a pedestrian, was identified as Rosita Ushanna Sherfield, 41, of Union Park, which is a neighborhood community on the north side of 380 in Little Elm, according to police.
The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 1 in the 26700 block of East University Drive, between Gazebo and Navo roads, near Braswell High School.
Police had few details about how the crash happened, but on Monday they issued an update seeking information about two vehicles and their drivers. Police asked for information "from eyewitnesses, local businesses with surveillance video or local body shops" to help find a dark-color SUV and a white Honda car, possibly a Civic.
Police said one or both of the vehicles should have damage on the front and front-right. Investigators want to find the drivers and vehicles "to conduct a thorough reconstruction of the crash and to conclude the investigation," police said.
Anyone with information about the involved vehicles is asked to call the Little Elm Police Department at 214-975-0460.
