RICHARDSON, Texas — Police responded to a domestic incident at a home in southeast Richardson on Wednesday afternoon.
Several police officers, including some in apparent tactical gear, were seen in the 1300 block of Buckingham Place, off Buckingham Road and North Jupiter Road.
In a news release, Richardson police said around 1:30 p.m. they responded to a report from a woman who said she was assaulted inside her home. Police said the victim in the incident was out of the house safely and with officers. When officers tried to contact the suspect he refused to leave the home "that was also occupied by additional family members."
Police identified the suspect as 28-year-old Steven Frederick. After negotiating with him Frederick exited the home and was taken into custody without incident., according to the department.
His relation to the homeowner is unclear at this time.
