HOUSTON -- The search for Jessica Cain's remains is in its third week and still no sign of the teen who went missing 19 years ago.
Tim Miller with Texas Equusearch said on Monday that once the rains start, forecasted to move in on Tuesday, the search with be suspended.
There was no sign of William Reece on Monday, the convict who reportedly told authorities where to dig. Reece has been linked to at least five murders or kidnappings all from 1997.
The first girl to go missing was Laura Smither, 12, of Friendswood. Her body was later pound in a Pasadena pond.
On July 15, Kelli Cox from Denton, Texas, disappeared. Her body has also never been found.
Less than two weeks later, July 26, Tiffany Johnston vanished in Bethany, Okla. Her body was located and in 2015 and DNA evidence connected Reece to her murder -- he's awaiting that trial.
In August, Cain, who was 17, vanished from Texas City.
Authorities have been searching for her remains in a southeast Houston field off Orem Drive.
Authorities say they will place water pumps into the deepest holes hoping to keep the site as intact as possible until they can resume the search.
