DALLAS — WFAA’s parent company, TEGNA, and the Dallas Mavericks announced in September a multi-year media rights agreement designating WFAA as the team’s official local broadcast partner.
Under the agreement, all non-nationally televised Mavericks games—at least 70 this season—will air for free on WFAA (Channel 8) or the TEGNA-owned KFAA (Channel 29).
Of those games, at least 15 will be simulcast on WFAA, including Thursday night’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The game is scheduled to tip off around 7:30 p.m. and because of this, "The Great Christmas Light Fight" and "Manhunt: Luigi Mangione and the CEO Murder — A Special Edition of 20/20" are being pushed back and will not air in their regularly scheduled timeslots on WFAA.
Those programs will air overnight on WFAA at 1:11 a.m. and 3:11 a.m., respectively. For an up-to-date programming list for WFAA, visit here.
All of these shows will also be available for streaming live on Hulu starting on Friday morning.
After Thursday's game, the Mavericks will play six more games on WFAA/KFAA through the end of 2024.
