Police respond after fight broke out at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco

Police say they received calls about possible shots fired at the mall and determined there were no shots fired, but there was a fight.

FRISCO, Texas — Frisco police confirmed they were called to Stonebriar Centre in Frisco Saturday evening after a fight broke out.

Frisco police say they responded to the mall at the corner of Preston Road and the Sam Rayburn Tollway Saturday after receiving initial calls reporting possible shots fired, but officers determined after they arrived that there was a fight, but no shots fired.

”There was a disturbance at the Stonebriar Mall earlier tonight, this was a fight involving juveniles and it had a large audience,” Frisco police told WFAA. “We received calls reporting gunshots but officers determined that was not the case when they arrived on scene and did the initial investigation.”

A WFAA staff member who was at the Boot Barn store there reported being rushed to the back of the store during the incident.

Mall management tells WFAA that no weapons were found and the two people who started the incident were apprehended. WFAA sent a crew to the scene.

This is a developing story. We’ll update this post as additional information becomes available.
