A person was hit and killed by a TRE train Thursday evening in Fort Worth.
According to the Fort Worth Police Department, a person, who they believe was walking on the tracks, was hit and killed by a TRE train near the intersection of E. 1st St. and Penland St. around 5 p.m. The person was pronounced dead at the scene, police say.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 23-year-old Fernando Lucio Jr.
FWPD told WFAA that they are investigating.
