FERRIS, Texas — Traffic is reduced to one lane on part of I-45 just north of Ferris after an 18-wheeler carrying yogurt caught fire Tuesday, officials say.
The truck caught fire in the northbound lanes of I-45 because of mechanical problems with the trailer, according to the Wilmer Fire Department.
Wilmer fire officials say traffic is expected to be reduced to one lane on a portion of the freeway for “an extended amount of time” as crews work to clean up the yogurt and remove the damaged trailer.
