ARLINGTON, Texas — The Parks Mall reopened on Sunday after it was evacuated for a reported "hazmat incident", according to the Arlington Fire Department (AFD).
Police shared on social media at about 10 a.m. that they blocked all entrances to the mall while the fire department addressed the matter.
An AFD official tells WFAA that the incident was a leak in the ammonia tank used to keep the ice rink cold. About one-fourth of the tank reportedly spilled onto the floor at about 2 a.m. Sunday.
No one was hurt in the incident.
