Wednesday's Child: Sisters Heaven and Havanna expected to begin 2025 with their new forever family

Sisters Heaven and Havanna were featured as WFAA's Wednesday's Child last year and are expecting their adoption to be finalized in January.

DALLAS — Two girls featured as WFAA's Wednesday's Child last year have found their new forever family after four years in foster care.

Sisters Heaven, now 9, and Havanna, now 8, were featured as WFAA's Wednesday's Child in June of 2023 and interviewed at the Dallas Zoo.

The girls have been living with their new adoptive parents since the end of July and are waiting for a judge to finalize their adoption in January.

Heaven and Havanna's caseworker says they are more than thriving in a home where they are loved and adored.

Their caseworker told WFAA she feels a great sense of relief that they have landed with a forever family who fights for them.

Most importantly, after spending four years in a system where siblings are often separated, Heaven and Havanna will remain together.

WFAA will let you know when their adoption is finalized.
