DALLAS — While this duo will need a lifetime commitment from a family, it also guarantees a lifetime of joy.
Today's Wednesday's Child are 10-year-old Shadale and 8-year-old Noah.
"I see Noah. I all wet. I all wet," said Noah as he stared into a WFAA camera after splashing around in the water fountains at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas.
Noah is absolutely adorable and WFAA asked him what foods are his favorite.
"I eat chicken nuggets and I eat french fries," he said.
While Noah doesn't necessarily like vegetables, he said he prefers to eat broccoli and carrots. Noah and his older brother, Shadale, live in the same foster home and are inseparable.
"We play Mario," said Noah about playtime with Shadale.
Shadale is on the autism spectrum and is non-verbal. He may not use many words, but he communicates love very easily.
Ashley Burrell is their caseworker. She says Shadale is incredibly sweet.
"Holds hands with his caregiver. Holds hands with his brother. He's wonderful," she said adding that the brothers take care of each other.
"I love the way they express their love."
She says like Shadale, Noah is also on the autism spectrum.
"Noah is a little more high functioning compared to Shadale. He's verbal. Shadale on the other hand, isn't verbal but can communicate through a few signs."
Shadale and Noah have been in foster care since 2015. After 9 years in the system, Burrell says they deserve a family just as special as they are.
"Families that are committed. Families that have a lot of love to give and are patient. Families that understand this is a commitment way beyond 18. It's a lifetime commitment for these two kiddos," she said.
"I jump high," said Noah as he ran around the park.
Noah and Shadale can reach great heights with parents who advocate for them.
"Noah is overprotective even though he's the younger brother. He wants to make sure that Shadale gets the same opportunity as he does. We definitely want a home where we can keep both of the boys together. That's very important."
"I feel happy," said Noah about playing with his brother in the park.
