Wednesday's Child: This 3-year-old has been in foster care for over a year. His advocates are hoping a forever family is ready to adopt him soon

Julian makes your heart melt instantly. "We would love to move him to an adoptive home as soon as possible," said his advocate, Charlisa Jackson.

DALLAS — If you've been thinking about adopting a younger child, you’re going to fall in love with Wednesday’s Child 3-year-old Julian. His advocates want him in a forever home ASAP.

There's nothing quite like the pureness and innocence of a child's laughter! WFAA got to listen to little Julian laugh and play for hours at the Play Street Museum in Mansfield.

Julian’s advocate, Charlisa Jackson said playing with a machine that shot out balls was his absolute favorite.

"Once we showed him how to work the machine, he just kept going and going. That was like his favorite thing to do," she said.

The toddler makes your heart melt instantly.

"We would love to move him to an adoptive home as soon as possible," said Jackson.

She believes it will not be too hard to find Julian a forever home, given how adorable he is.

"I see Julian being a very smart and sweet boy. He's gonna [sic] grow up and make someone happy!"

Julian doesn't use a lot of words yet, but whether he needs a hug or wants something to eat, he communicates it.

"Julian needs a family that can love him. Support him. He has speech delays. So, if he can find a family that can help him so that he can be effective in his speech, that would be amazing," said Jackson.

In foster care since 2022, Julian's advocates say the best family for him will have an abundance of patience and love.

"Definitely gonna say structure and advocacy would be two qualities. And he just needs love. And I would say consistency. Someone who can provide care consistently."

The hope is that Julian never remembers foster care and that he thrives in a home filled with love just as pure as he is.
