Wednesday Child: 11-year-old Have'Ana and 9-year-old Layla are waiting to be adopted together

The sisters are in need of a loving forever family to adopt them and, most importantly, a family that will keep them together.

LANCASTER, Texas — The dream of any kid is to grow up in a loving, supportive home.

These North Texas sisters are in need of a loving forever family to adopt them and, most importantly, a family that will keep them together.

Today's Wednesday's Child are 11-year-old Have'Ana and 9-year-old Layla.

Have'Ana has the voice of an Angel. She also chooses to behave like an Angel as often as possible.

"I don't like getting in trouble. It's the worst thing possible to get in trouble because then you lose something you enjoy very much, and I won't have it for a week or two, so I just be responsible and help Layla out," Have’Ana said.

Have'Ana and her 9-year-old sister Layla were treated to private voice lessons at the Lancaster Music School.

"Hi, my name is Layla," said the younger of the two sisters smiling into the WFAA cameras. She is full of energy and love for her big sister.

Have'Ana looks after little Layla like a mother would.

"She's like a mom. She helps me, and she helps me when I need stuff that I forget," said Layla.

In addition to being a great big sister, Have’Ana is smart and carries on a conversation with ease. She’s also very polite, kind, and confident.

"I love to sing. I'm very creative. And also, I love to help people," Have'Ana said.

Being a big sister is a role she takes seriously but also enjoys.

"She can't make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, so I make it for her. Also, she's not very good at Math so I help her with that too," Have'Ana said. "I'm in advanced Math. I love Math. It's very easy for me."

As for Layla, music and gymnastics are her thing! She’s also very smart and hoping to tumble her way into an adoptive family’s heart.

"I did splits, I did backflips, I did cartwheels," she said proudly.

It's easy to fall in love with her high-flying spirit and spunk.

"I want a family to play with me and I want a phone,” she said hoping to convince her future family that she’s old enough for one. Just nine years old, Layla knows exactly what she wants to hear from her adoptive parents.

"I love you," she said.

Layla and Have'Ana need love, security and a forever family who will treasure who they are.
