One person killed, another injured in two-car crash in Dallas

According to police, the crash occurred just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

DALLAS — One person is dead after being involved in a two-car crash on Wednesday in Dallas. 

According to the Dallas Police Department, officers responded to the crash at Easton Road and Garland Road around 2:15 p.m. 

Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) also responded to the scene and said one of the drivers was pinned in their vehicle, which triggered a heavy rescue response. 

According to DFR, crews were able to successfully remove the pinned driver, but they died from their injuries at the scene. 

DFR said the other driver was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

No information on the victim's identity was released. 

The Dallas Police Department said this crash is part of an ongoing investigation.
