Two taken to the hospital in officer-involved crash, Fort Worth police say

According to police, the crash occurred at about 3:43 p.m.

FORT WORTH, Texas — A Fort Worth police officer and another person were taken to the hospital after a crash occurred Friday afternoon. 

According to the Fort Worth Police Department, the crash happened at about 3:43 p.m. in the 2600 block of Miller Avenue.

Police said the officer was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, but was reported to be in good condition. 

According to police, the other person involved in the crash was also taken to the hospital due to possible injury. There was no word on that person's condition. 

Police did not specify what led up to the crash or any additional details about the incident.

WFAA chopper footage showed a police cruiser in the middle of the road with obvious damage to its front end. It also showed a red sedan on the side of the road with major damage to its driver's side.
