FRISCO, Texas — A construction worker fell more than 20 feet down a manhole in Frisco on Monday, suffering life-threatening injuries, officials said.
The incident happened shortly before 3 p.m. at 777 Main Street in Frisco, according to a city news release. The victim was a man who was working on a construction crew that was doing concrete utility work inside of a storm drain at the location.
The man fell down the hole, which was about three-to-five feet wide. The Frisco Fire Department's Rescue 1 team removed the worker from the hole, officials said. He was then flown to Medical City Plano hospital for treatment.
An update on his condition was not available, but officials called his injuries life-threatening.
