DALLAS — Dallas Fire Rescue has evacuated a school in the Oak Lawn neighborhood as a precaution after a construction crew damaged a natural gas pipeline on Wednesday in the area.
In a statement, DFR said units were called about the incident at about 2:50 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Oak Lawn Avenue and Blackburn Street after the crew reportedly hit a 3-inch gas line.
In a statement, Atmos Energy said they have technicians on scene making the necessary repairs.
Residents in the area are advised to seek alternate routes as there may be traffic delays in the area.
