DALLAS — Police arrested more than a dozen protesters blocking the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Herb Kelleher Way at the entrance to Dallas Love Field on Monday evening.
The protesters were calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and for the U.S. to end its support of Israel, according to WFAA reporter Jobin Panicker, as Biden was set to arrive in Dallas to attend a wake for former longtime Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson.
Dallas police said they responded to reports of protesters blocking traffic at the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Herb Kelleher Way around 6:30 p.m. Monday.
Police said they gave the protesters three warnings to leave the roadway, but they refused, and 13 people were arrested on complaints of obstructing a highway or other passageway.
No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
