Missing Little Elm teen found; person of interest taken into custody, police say

The teen was seen leaving her parents' home Sunday afternoon. Police said she was found two days later.

LITTLE ELM, Texas — Police in Little Elm said a teenage girl that was last seen Sunday afternoon was found about 48 hours later.

Originally, they said the teen was last seen at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 12 leaving on foot from her parents' house in the South Paloma Creek area. They later shared on social media that she was found at 5:30 p.m. on Valentine's Day.

Since she has been found, WFAA has removed her name from this article.

In the update, Little Elm police said the teen is healthy overall, but was taken to a hospital out of precaution.

A person of interest has been taken into custody, according to police.

This case is still under investigation. No other information is available at this time.
