MCKINNEY, Texas — McKinney North High School was closed Friday due to a water main break, officials announced.
McKinney Independent School District posted on social media around 5:30 a.m. that a break in the main water line at the school forced crews to turn the water off. Plumbers worked through the night to fix the break but weren't able to get it done in time for school to start Friday.
Only McKinney North, which is located at 2550 Wilmeth Road, was impacted by the water main break.
The district did not say how long the school closure was expected to last, but Friday classes were canceled.
