MARIETTA, Okla. — Smoke plumes covered Interstate 35 in Oklahoma near the Texas border as the Dollar Tree distribution warehouse in Marietta, Okla. caught fire Friday morning.
The Love County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook that the fire drew an "all call" for all fire departments in the county.
"This will be an exhausting day for all of the Fire personnel so please limit your controlled burns or make sure you have a good fire break and resources to manage it," the sheriff's office said.
Smoke was blowing across both northbound and southbound lanes of I-35, and officials said "if it gets too bad we will have to shut down the interstate and divert traffic to Highway 77."
In an update at 10 a.m., the sheriff's office said there is no hazardous material in the fire.
"Anything hazardous and all hazardous chemicals were removed after the tornado," the sheriff's office said. "Therefore, unless you have asthma or are susceptible to medical issues due to smoke, fire officials don’t predict any issues arising from the smoke in the air."
The tornado in reference happened at the end of April.

The Dollar Tree facility is located right off the southbound lanes in Marietta, which is just 15 miles north of the Texas-Oklahoma border.
