33-year-old man shot, killed in North Texas after being 'forcibly taken' from apartment

According to police, the victim was taken alongside two juveniles.

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas — Police are investigating the alleged homicide of 33-year-old Nilzuly Arneaud Petit, who was shot and killed on Saturday, Aug. 24. 

According to the Farmers Branch Police Department, a passing driver found Petit dead at about 3:40 a.m. near the 1100 block of Valley View Lane.

Police said the detectives discovered that Petit and two juveniles were forcibly taken by several suspects from an apartment complex on Fair Oaks Crossing in Dallas at about 12:30 a.m. 

According to police, the suspects drove Petit and the two juveniles somewhere in Farmers Branch, where they shot Petit and fled the scene. 

Police said the two juveniles were later found by Lewisville police officers unharmed walking along an I-35 service road. 

The Farmers Branch Police Department said detectives are working with the Dallas Police Department to identify the suspects and are currently following up on multiple leads.
