ARLINGTON, Texas — A 20-year-old man was found dead after a motorcycle crash early Wednesday morning in Arlington, police say.

Officers were called at about 1:37 a.m. to the 500 block of Southeast Green Oaks Boulevard to investigate the crash.

Upon arrival, police say they found the victim lying unresponsive on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say investigators believe the victim was traveling eastbound along the boulevard and hit the curb going around a curve, which caused him to lose control of the motorcycle and go over the curb. He was thrown from the bike. He was not wearing a helmet, police say.

Officers say speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.

The victim will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office once next of kin have been notified.
