ARLINGTON, Texas — A pedestrian was killed in Arlington on Wednesday evening after he was struck by several vehicles while on Interstate 20.
Police said they were called about the incident at about 8:49 p.m. to the westbound lanes of I-20 near Bowen Road.
Upon arrival, police spoke to a woman who was driving a 2009 Lexus RX 350, and told police she hit something that suddenly appeared in front of her that she thought may have been a person.
Police say they found human remains nearby and believe that after the initial collision, the person, believed to be a man, was struck by several other vehicles. The person is unidentified at this time.
The driver, police say, immediately stopped and called 911 and cooperated with investigators, and is not facing any charges related to the incident. Police say they believe she and other drivers did not see the person in time to avoid them.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office is working to identify the pedestrian.
