BENBROOK, Texas — An unfortunate incident unfolded Monday afternoon at the Benbrook YMCA when police responded to reports of a possible drowning.
Around 4:30 p.m. the Benbrook Police Department was called to the facility in the 1800 block of Winscott Road. Police said a 61-year-old man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Gordon Wray Maberry of Willow Park, Texas. The cause of death was ruled as an accident.
The details leading up to the incident were not immediately released.
