LANCASTER, Texas — A mother and two of her kids were sent to hospitals Tuesday morning after their vehicle was struck by another vehicle outside of ILTexas Lancaster, according to city officials.
In a statement, the International Leadership of Texas said the accident happened at 7:36 a.m. Officials said a parent and their children were "hit by oncoming traffic" after parking "in the street and not a designated drop-off point to unload their students."
The City of Lancaster told WFAA that the family's vehicle was hit by another vehicle in the 800 block of Rawlins Drive while the mother was dropping off her kids.
The charter school said first responders got to the school at 7:42 a.m., then the victims were sent to hospitals about 10 minutes after that.
All victims are expected to recover, according to city officials.
The city also said that everyone involved in the accident stayed on scene and no one was arrested.
"We are conducting a thorough investigation and will also be reviewing all driveline safety procedures with our families to ensure an incident like this does not happen again," ILTexas said in their statement.
