RENTON -- IKEA Seattle is trying to find the owner of a stuffed elephant left in their store last week.

The little guy, who staff has affectionately named Peanut, has been keeping busy hanging with new friends and diving in the ball pit. He's even been enjoying some snacks, though he hasn't tried the meatballs yet.

But, it hasn’t been all fun and games. IKEA Seattle has put Peanut to work. He’s taken a few shifts on safety watch and done some heavy lifting supervising construction on IKEA’s new store.

Although staff really likes having Peanut around, they know his family is probably out searching for him and would love to get him back home.

If you are Peanut’s rightful owners, IKEA Seattle wants you to contact them. Visit the Customer Service counter between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. or call 425-656-4404 and press "0" for a receptionist. Please try to bring some type of proof, like a photo of your treasured elephant.
