DALLAS — The Hot Chocolate Run 15K/5K series is taking place Saturday morning in Dallas and will have an impact on traffic.

It will begin at 7 a.m. Saturday in Fair Park, 3909 Grand Ave., and end at 11:30 a.m. in Fair Park, with the route stretching throughout the city -- resulting in a number of road closures.

The chocolate-themed race was established in 2008 in Chicago and has since spread to cities across the country, with hundreds of thousands participating. After the race there will be a party with music, a finisher's-mug of hot chocolate, chocolate fondue and other treats.
