FORT WORTH, Texas — The H-E-B grocery chain is bringing two new stores to North Texas - and 1,000 jobs.
The San Antonio-based grocer this week announced plans to hire 500 new employees at stores in Mansfield and Fort Worth.
H-E-B is hosting job fairs for each store, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 9, for the Fort Worth store, which is located in the Alliance development off I-35W in North Fort Worth. The job fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the store's staffing office located at 5650 N. Riverside Drive, Fort Worth, TX, 76137.
The job fair for the Mansfield store will happen the next day, on Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Midlothian Conference Center, located at 1 Community Drive, Midlothian, TX, 76065.
The Mansfield store will be located at U.S. 287 and East Broad Street.
Both the Fort Worth and Mansfield stores are expected to open this spring.
H-E-B is hiring for all positions at both stores, including full-time and part-time roles in the bakery, deli, produce, seafood, market and catering. H-E-B said most hourly roles start at $15.50 per hour, plus a 10% employee discount, paid time off, health insurance and a 401K plan.
H-E-B is asking any interested applicants to fill out an application before arriving at the job fair. Fort Worth Alliance job openings can be found here, while Mansfield openings can be found here.
H-E-B has opened several stores in Dallas-Fort Worth's four largest counties over the last two years, marking the company's first foray into North Texas' more populous areas. H-E-B has long had a strong presence in Central Texas and in the Houston area, and in surrounding areas of North Texas.
