Greyhound to stay open in Downtown Dallas while it works to finalize lease extension

Originally, Greyhound told WFAA that it would be closing its Downtown Dallas location after its lease expiration in October.

DALLAS — Transportation company Greyhound confirmed to WFAA Tuesday that it will continue to operate its Downtown Dallas location through April 2025.

In January, Greyhound spokesperson Mike Ogulnick said in a statement that Greyhound would be shutting down the terminal at the end of its lease in October as the transportation company's previous owner, First Group, retained ownership of the property and later sold it to Twenty Lake Holdings.

Ogulnick said that while this location was closing, Greyhound had no plans to end service in Dallas — and it was even in talks with the City of Dallas to figure out a new terminal location.

However, it appears much work has been done in the last several months as a Greyhound/Flix North America spokesperson told WFAA that the Dallas terminal will remain open while the company works to finalize a lease extension through April 2025.

Greyhound did not elaborate on the details of the lease extension it is working through.
