FORT WORTH, Texas — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on the Interstate 35W TEXpress lanes near downtown Fort Worth on Tuesday morning, police said.
The crash happened shortly before 4:30 a.m. in the southbound toll lanes near Belknap Street, where Texas 121 connects to I-35W, according to a police update.
Police say the man who was hit by a vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police say.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office will identify the man who was hit once next of kin is notified.
