FORT WORTH, Texas — While some people talk about their car’s engine purring, a customer at Park Place Motorcars Fort Worth had a different sound – a soft “meow” coming from the car where a kitten had gotten stuck.
The customer raised concerns about the faint sound coming from the car when stopped at a red light on the way to return a loaner car to the dealership. During the loan, the customer said he noticed several cats hiding under the car during a recent rainstorm, according to a June 14 news release.
Sebastian Jimenez, a service valet at Park Place Motorcars Fort Worth, listened to the customer’s concerns and notified service manager Mauricio Zenon.
Several technicians including Jacob Munoz, Mark Hawkins, Josh Brunk and Josh Chandler, helped Jimenez remove car panels at the service drive instead of driving the car to the shop and putting the kitten at risk.
The technicians crawled under the car and removed belly pans, where they found the kitten hiding under the front passenger side of the vehicle. Park Place Motorcars said the kitten was unharmed and “in good spirits.”
One of the technicians, Mark Hawkins, decided to adopt the kitten saved from the vehicle.
