ARLINGTON, Texas — Former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones was arrested Saturday morning in Arlington for allegedly hitting an officer while attempting to fight someone at a hotel, police said.
According to the Arlington Police Department, just after 1 a.m., an APD officer working an off-duty shift at Live by Loews hotel was notified by security that a fight had broken out at the bar.
Police said by the time the officer arrived to the bar, the people involved, including the 41-year-old Jones, had been separated.
According to police, Jones continued to yell at the others involved and the officer stepped between them, giving Jones a warning that he would be arrested if he tried to fight again.
Not long after, police said another fight broke out at the bar, again with Jones.
Arlington PD said while the officer and hotel security were trying to separate the people involved, Jones hit the officer on her arm and was subsequently arrested for assault on a peace officer.
Police said the officer called for backup and while she was trying to handcuff Jones, he broke free and walked away. Other officers arrived and took him into custody, police said.
According to police, Jones was booked into the Arlington City Jail on one count of assault on a peace officer, one count of public intoxication, one count of evading and one count of resisting arrest.
Jones was in town for the huge Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight at AT&T Stadium Friday night, according to his Instagram page.
