A private funeral service for David "Kidd" Kraddick was held Friday atThe Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on North Davis Street. Family, co-workers and friends gathered for the ceremony, which lasted for just over an hour. Co-hosts J-Si Chavez and Big Al Mack were among the several hundred people seen attending the service.
Kraddick died last weekend while at a charity golf tournament in New Orleans. He was raising money for his foundation Kidd's Kids. The medical examiner in Louisiana said Kraddick likely died from previous heart-related problems.
Plans for a public memorial service to honor Kraddick have not been released.Kraddick has been on the radio in Dallas since 1984. He was syndicated in more than 75 cities across the country.
