MIDLOTHIAN, Texas — Deputies are investigating a possible murder-suicide in Midlothian Wednesday, officials say.

Ellis County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home in the 9600 block of Baucum Road in Midlothian shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday and found two people with apparent gunshot wounds, according to a news release.

Deputies and medical personnel responded and the two were pronounced dead at the scene, officials say. The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office didn’t identify them, pending notification of family.

“Both victims appear to have died from gunshot wounds in what is being investigated as a possible murder/suicide,” a press release from the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office reads.
