DUNCANVILLE, Texas — A woman who was trying to cross Highway 67 in the Duncanville area was hit and killed by a vehicle, officials said Wednesday.
The crash happened on northbound 67 near Cockrell Hill Road, according to the Dallas County Sheriff's Office, which posted about the incident Wednesday morning shortly after midnight.
The sheriff's office said a woman who was crossing 67 at Cockrell Hill was hit by a vehicle and died. The driver who hit the woman stayed at the scene and was cooperating with investigators, officials said.
The sheriff's office said no charges are expected to be filed against the driver. The victim who died has not been identified.
The crash shut down the highway for a couple hours before it reopened shortly before 3 a.m.
